Rising in my chest, wings beating violently, my lungs trembling. It hits the pit of my stomach, disperses into veins and arteries, through entangled threads of blue and red, seeping into my muscles, as each foot breaks with the ground, lightning bolts spiral upward. Wires lead up to vital organs, the kind that pump the electric sparks through the veins and arteries that keep us breathing. It winds me for a second, my breathing stalled momentarily whilst my thoughts catch up with my body. I feel not pain but numbness. I feel no pain. I feel no pain.
