Rebecca-Daphne du maurier, Vintage ecco boots.

My current reading at the moment and my old faithful vintage winter boots because i think it is time to get inspired for Autumn. I've never realised how these boots are so autumnal with their crimson leafy colour. Channel rusty reds and dark browns; makeup/accessories/hair colour. Also, get your literature out. There is nothing better than cosying up on your sofa/in your bed/on a bus on the way to town with a great novel, and no better time to do so either. So put the kettle on, make some hot chocolate and make acquintance with a good story.

Throw on some lipstick, a grungy jumper and ruffle your hair.
Understated is sexy;
worn together, even the blandest of clothing can look effortlessly irresistible.
Perfume, eyeliner, high heels, that ' just rolled around in bed' hair and your favourite jewellary.

Rising in my chest, wings beating violently, my lungs trembling. It hits the pit of my stomach, disperses into veins and arteries, through entangled threads of blue and red, seeping into my muscles, as each foot breaks with the ground, lightning bolts spiral upward. Wires lead up to vital organs, the kind that pump the electric sparks through the veins and arteries that keep us breathing. It winds me for a second, my breathing stalled momentarily whilst my thoughts catch up with my body. I feel not pain but numbness. I feel no pain. I feel no pain.

heroes and villians

I woke up to my bag ,false eyelashes attached and spilling across emily's floor, and my pajama bottoms dotted with red wine drips. Surely this was the end to a good night out.

We went to an 18th party, fancy dress 'heroes and villans'. Catherine was Batgirl, Emily P was Robin, Emily A was link and I was the Qeen of hearts. We had all pretty much made our costumes ourselves and continued to spend the evening drinking wine and listening to Lady gaga. Having thoroughly enjoyed the party we decided to go onto town. Already pretty trollied there wasnt need for much money to be spent, however town was practically derelict. On return to the house we managed to fall asleep in the taxi before venturing up Emily's akward staircase where we laughed for hours on end about the class clown dressed up as Borat in his mankini and the memory of me running into Emily's dangerous window earlier on that night and how i now have a cut on my forehead. Not to mention the mysterious other cuts and bruises we regularly aquire on our nights out.

Quite an eventful evening all in all.

Bonjour mon Cherie

Audrey Tautou, quite possibly one of the most beautiful women i have ever come across, plays Coco with elegance. She is inspiring and ambitious as famous Coco Chanel, just as Coco herself. I think that Audrey was well cast and that french films have a certain eloquence about them that is both intriguing and addictive. This brought to mind my mum's Betty Blue Soundtrack which i used to dance around my front room to. The eerie rise and fall of Gabriel Yared's compositions spark something inside of me and make me feel at once whimsical. The effortless chic parisian fashion paired with the 'I've just rolled around in bed with my devine Poet Boyfriend for the entire morning, jealous?' hair and minimal makeup looks quite unsuprisingly quaint. This appears to be an all of recent development admiration for french culture; the films, the music, the fashion. ♥

"I can't explain myself, I'm afraid, Sir," said Alice, "because I'm not myself, you see."

"I don't see," said the Caterpillar.
"I'm afriad I can't put it more cleary," Alice replied, very politely, "for I can't understand it myself, to begin with; and being so many different sizes in a day is very confusing."
"It isn't," said the Caterpillar.

My favourite novel of all time.
Feeling quite inspired by it all of recent.

* Simplicity.
Everything is so extravagant, what happened to elegant basics? Soft knit jumpers in coal grey, faded denim and a pair of lace up boots for an edge, minimal accessories and loose hair. Understated makes more of an impression than gordy detailing quite often than not.
